Manchester Arndale’s joint owners M&G Real Estate and intu have appointed Time Retail Partners and Metis as joint agents for the shopping centre.

The mall welcomes over 40 million visitors a year and boasts more than 200 shops and restaurants, including national, international and local brands.

Scott Linard, director, asset management at M&G Real Estate, said: “The appointment of Time Retail Partners and Metis takes Manchester Arndale into an exciting new phase and we are confident that their robust and extensive network of contacts, as well as their wealth of experience and expertise in the market, will be extremely valuable.

“The centre is one of the main retail destinations in the North and we look forward to working with the new joint agents as they capitalise on the regional and international exposure Manchester Arndale offers.”

Uniqlo

Manchester Arndale recently announced a series of new lettings and lease extensions.

In April, Uniqlo opened its flagship store for the North at Manchester Arndale. The store, which is only Uniqlo’s third in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ outside London, occupies a completely redesigned 21,000 sq ft unit on Market Street.

AllSaints also committed to a new ten-year lease on a new unit in the centre, following several years of strong trading on Market Street.

This comes alongside the addition of Metro Bank and home and body cosmetics brand Rituals to Manchester Arndale’s line-up in recent weeks.
