Shoppers in Manchester still have time to discover a range of British brands at Amazon鈥檚 first ever Clicks and Mortar pop-up shop.

The Clicks and Mortar experiential pop up on St Mary鈥檚 Gate has featured a selection of online British brands that had previously only sold online, including Manchester-based Swifty Scooters, The Coconut Merchant and Torro Cases.

The Manchester Clicks and Mortar store is the first of 10 pop-up shops that will open in Wales, Scotland, the Midlands, Yorkshire and across the South East in the coming year.

The pop-ups are designed to provide customers with the opportunity to discover and buy directly from over 100 small online businesses, while giving these brands the chance to experience physical retail for the first time.

The shops are run in partnership with Amazon, Enterprise Nation, Square and Direct Line for Business.

The last day of trading for the Manchester pop-up will be Sunday 14 July.

Simon Donegan, 海角视频 Head of Seller Services at Amazon said: 鈥淭he Clicks and Mortar shop has provided a fantastic experience for these online brands, giving them the chance to experience physical retail for the first time while growing their customer base.

鈥淎mazon is passionate about supporting small businesses, both online and on the high street, and we look forward to opening further Clicks and Mortar shops across the 海角视频 as part of this year long programme.鈥

A local SME exploring physical retail for the first time thanks to the pop-up store is Manchester-based Swifty Scooters. The team designs and manufactures its own brand of high-quality, foldable kick-scooters for adults.

Jason Iftakhar, co-founder, Swifty Scooters, said: 鈥淣ot only have sales been great in the pop-up, but our online engagement has really taken off since the store opened.

鈥淭his is the first time we鈥檝e ever had our own physical retail space, and it鈥檚 been great to be a part of this exciting offering, especially as we鈥檙e a Manchester-based enterprise.

鈥淭his programme has given us a renewed confidence moving forward and has helped identify our next steps as a business. We plan to expand into the American market through Amazon by using Fulfilment by Amazon, initially bringing our stock into Atlanta and then going from there.

鈥淐licks and Mortar has also given us an incredible opportunity to engage with our customers on the high street and we have decided that we want to emulate the programme ourselves. "
