More to old Harborne coach house than meets eye

This Harborne house feels bigger on the inside thanks to hard work of the owners

There is something almost TARDIS like about this period terrace in Greenfield Road, Harborne.

Walking beneath the archway and through the front door, it definitely feels bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside.

That is down to the hard work of the , creating space at the back and room at the top.

It is a Victorian era property and the owners have been mindful to retain authentic features, marrying them with contemporary fixtures in the kitchen and the bathrooms.

The house was built in the late 1800s and converted from a coach house and stable block.

At the front, a block paved driveway provides valuable parking space for two cars.

The open arched porch actually formed part of the old coach house. Entrance is through a handsome bespoke oak front door with leaded light-style panels and matching side windows.

Once inside, the hallway has wide plank oak flooring and a wood panel door with decorative glazed panels into the reception rooms.
