Major new listings at Wagamama's and Tattu help sales surge at TÅ· Nant

The premium Welsh mineral bottle water brand has made a big drive to expand distribution and increase brand visibility

TÅ· Nant has established a worldwide presence as a premium purveyor of bottled natural mineral

Internationally-known Welsh mineral bottle water company Tŷ Nant has seen its sales surge following a big drive to expand distribution and increase brand awareness.

The premium producer, which is based in Bethania on the edge of the Cambrian Mountains in west Wales, has seen sales increase by 270% between 2021 and 2022 and a two-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of over 104% making it one of the fastest growing drinks brands in the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ.

The brand has secured major new listings with Wagamama’s and Tattu restaurants nationwide which have contributed to its exceptional growth, as well as new partnerships with leading retailers and wholesalers, which have allowed it to expand its distribution. It has also expanded its export business, distributing to over 20 countries worldwide.

As part of a drive to raise awareness of the brand among consumers, the firm has taken on key sponsorships. Last September, it sponsored the Laver Cup which was Roger Federer’s last competitive event before he retired.

Part of the Tŷ Nant Group, Tŷ Nant has established a worldwide presence as a premium purveyor of bottled natural mineral, spring and tonic waters. It launched its cobalt blue glass bottle range at the Savoy Hotel in London in 1989.

It was owned by Italian distributor Biscaldi Luigi Import Export Srl from 1992, until Derby entrepreneur Bobby Nanua snapped up the brand in October 2020 for an undisclosed sum.

Last year, the group acquired the Pentland Still distillery which produces Kings Hill Gin in Edinburgh for an undisclosed su, in a strategic move to enter the super premium spirits market.
