Cosmetics retailer Lush is set to open its first-ever hair salon.
The brand, which has it head office in Dorset, creates fresh cosmetics with an aim of saving the planet by not testing on animals, creating a conscious supply chain and giving back to the planet.
Lush's HairLab will open in Brighton to cater for all hair types, it will also reduce salon waste and feature a unique ‘spa for your head’.
Opening on Trafalgar Street autumn 2023, Lush said the salon will take a holistic approach to hairdressing and barbering. It will feature a botanical wash room where clients are bathed in light and sound, with hair and scalp treated with the choice of hard or soft water, using Lush’s award-winning hair care products and herbal infusions.

Brighton’s Lush HairLab is "determined to revolutionise the hair industry", using natural hair colouring and reducing salon waste. According to the retailer, rubbish produced by the 海角视频's hairdressing sector could fill 50 football stadiums every year. Most of this waste includes aluminium foil, dye tubes and the majority of cut hair. Most of this waste could however be reused in various ways.

Earlier this year BusinessLive visited Lush's new Green Hub at its Poole Headquarters. Green hub is part of Lush's wider initiatives, under its mission of "leaving the world Lusher than we found it".

Last year, Lush's existing green hub scheme recycled 12 tonnes of PP plastic through its ‘Bring it Back’ initiative, which encourages customers to bring back Lush plastic packaging to any of its stores for 50p credit. It also recycled 15 tonnes of PET product moulds in a closed loop, and recycled 998 tonnes of manufacturing waste, 81% of Lush’s total manufacturing waste for the 海角视频.
Today, Lush operates in 49 countries with over 900 shops, 38 websites shipping worldwide and a global network of native apps, broadcasting channels and digital communities in over 30 languages.
