More than 25 former Bathstore employees have been hired by Wren Kitchens as it continues to ramp up its retail footprint nationwide.

Bathstore was plunged into administration earlier this year, with scores of stores closed.

Wren, on an opposite trajectory as the fastest growing bricks and mortar retailer, has now provided opportunities for many affected, including skilled designers and retail employees.

Several retail recruitment events saw hundreds of applicants apply for roles in the state-of-the-art showrooms.

Latest recruits have just completed a comprehensive two-week training course at Wren鈥檚 headquarters, The Nest, in Barton-upon-Humber.

Bathstore, now closed at Palace Court, Grimsby.

Daryl Richardson, 27, is a fully-fledged kitchen designer and is now posted at the Doncaster showroom.聽 鈥淎s soon as I stepped into a Wren showroom I was blown away, I wish I had worked for Wren sooner,鈥 said Daryl, who previously worked at Bathstore for 18 months.

鈥淚t was obviously a tough time when Bathstore was going into administration so when the job opportunity came available at Wren I jumped at the chance. I had no doubts as I鈥檇 heard so many people speaking highly about it.鈥

Another former Bathstore employee, Zak Hodson, 27, will be based at the brand-new Blackburn showroom which opens on Friday, where he鈥檒l be a kitchen designer.

鈥淚 can鈥檛 wait to get stuck in and work for such a professional organisation 鈥 I鈥檓 very lucky to be here,鈥 he said.

鈥淎s Wren is a thriving business, it gives you real peace of mind and a sense of security for your livelihood.鈥

Wren Kitchens is planning to create jobs when it opens its new depot
