Jet2.com is launching dozens of new flights from Liverpool John Lennon Airport in a move it says will create more than 200 new jobs.

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are making Liverpool their 11th ��Ƶ airport after what they say is “enormous demand from customers and independent travel agents across the region”. The first flights will take off in March next year.

The airline will serve 20 summer destinations from Liverpool, from the Canary Islands to Bulgaria - with seven exclusive routes. Some 565,000 tickets will now be going on sale.

The airline says its arrival at Liverpool is a “significant investment” that will initially create more than 200 jobs. Positions will be available across flight deck, cabin crew, engineering, and ground operations.
