Iceland wants more Food Warehouse stores across North Wales - with plans already in for one shop

The Deeside based brand wants to add to its existing Food Warehouse stores in Wrexham, Mold and Flint with a £1m investment in a new site

Iceland wants to open more Food Warehouse stores in North Wales - with plans already submitted for one supermarket.

The Deeside based brand currently has the Food Warehouse brand in Wrexham, Mold and Flint - part of a 144 strong º£½ÇÊÓÆµ portfolio.

But they want to increase this number.

It has seen plans submitted for a new store at the Menai Retail Park in Bangor, where they would replace Carpetright.

This would create 20 to 25 jobs.

Ryan Parsonage, from Iceland Foods, said: "The business has 144 Food Warehouse stores trading across the United Kingdom including 13 in Wales.

"We are keen to increase our representation in North Wales expanding on our existing Food Warehouse locations in Wrexham, Mold and Flint.
