Ice cream man Steve Lanza is expanding into the drinks market with the launch of new mobile bar.

Steve, who lives in the Staffordshire Moorlands, launched Lanza's Traditional Ice Cream eight years ago - served from a quirky ice cream seller's bike.

Now the businessman hopes to replicate his success with his latest venture - Lanza's Mobile Bar.

The bar - which is essentially a cart - comes fully-stocked with drinks including prosecco, champagne, gin, vodka and other favourites.

It is now up-and-running and is available for hire at corporate events, weddings, parties and other celebrations.

Steve said: "Lanza’s ice cream is going from strength-to-strength, it’s getting better every year. We go to lots of weddings and we are getting quite a bit of corporate work in now too.

"We also supply our ice cream to some very prestigious venues such as the Hilton Hotel in Manchester and the Alderley Edge Hotel and Restaurant because we have built up such a good reputation."

"The idea for the mobile bar came about as a bit of a light bulb moment at 4am one morning last year. It was something I really wanted to do and I knew it could work."

He added: "The mobile bar is being marketed as a bar because we don’t just serve prosecco and champagne, we can tailor packages to suit the customer’s individual tastes, whether that be beer, Pimms or cocktails.

"I understand that mobile bars are not a new thing, there are quite a few of them about, but what makes us different is the fact that our drinks are served from carts which means they are small enough to be set up inside venues if the weather turns bad It will give our customers peace of mind."
