Newly relegated Leicester City are charging more for replica kits this season than many Premier League clubs, according to new figures.

Despite the cost of living crisis, the figures suggests fans will still be paying top dollar for replica kits as the 23/24 Championship season gets underway.

The average price for a standard adult replica top has increased by an average of 4.4 per cent across the division compared to last season. Junior tops fare slightly better at an average of 3.7 per cent.

But few sets of fans will have to fork out more to purchase their own replica match kit than those at the King Power Stadium.

Leicester are charging fans £63 for an adult home shirt, while the junior replica shirt will cost parents £45 this year, almost as much as many clubs charge for an adult kit.

Only two Championship clubs charge more for an adult kit.

This year’s kit is no more expensive than last season’s, however, which may be some consolation with many clubs upping prices year on year.

Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday are tied for the most expensive adult shirt in the league this year, with both clubs charging £65.
