A North East property group has expanded its footprint after snapping up a Liverpool letting company.
Family-owned holiday let management company Host & Stay has acquired Host So Simple, a property management company, which now takes the firm’s portfolio to more than 900 properties. Host & Stay forms part of the wider The SDDE Smith Group, a portfolio of property-related firms based in Saltburn, which manages properties across Tyneside, North Yorkshire, Teesside, Northumberland and beyond.
Its latest acquisition Host So Simple was started by Katy and Joe Davies in 2016 and has seen strong growth and success in Liverpool, through its short-term let management service. Directors said the merger marks a natural progression for the two companies as it brings together shared values and commitment to quality. As part of the wider SDDE Smith Group, Host So Simple will now scale all aspects of its service.

Since launching in December 2018, Host & Stay has seen strong organic growth, with its property portfolio doubling year on year. Over the next three years, the company’s plans include the acquisition of multiple holiday home and short-term rental management businesses across the Ƶ. It plans to reinvest profits to scale up its operations, enhance service offerings, and extend its reach to customers throughout the Ƶ.
