An independent º£½ÇÊÓƵ tour operator headquartered in Swindon has fallen into administration.

Travel Day Limited, which trades as Simply Global Travel, Holiday USA, Caribbean Classics, and The Vegas Wedding Company, collapsed on March 29.

The company has ceased to trade with immediate effect and Mark Supperstone and Simon Jagger of investment and advisory practice ReSolve have been appointed as administrators.

Travel Day was established in 2005 and operates four brands that specialise in arranging long-haul travel to places such as the Caribbean and the US, as well as wedding destinations including to Las Vegas.

The administrators are now looking for a buyer for the business and its assets. The company's customers are being advised to visit the Civil Aviation Authority website for support.

Mr Supperstone, managing partner at ReSolve, said: “Covid-19 has been a challenging time for the travel industry and has led to ReSolve spending a significant time working within the sector, helping our clients survive the storm.

"Yet even at the most difficult of times during the pandemic we have consistently succeeded in finding buyers for our clients’ assets and brands.

"This is due to their strong fundamentals and investors’ understanding that the travel sector will soon again pick up.”
