A major refurbishment of the Holiday Inn Bristol hotel, in Filton, has completed.

Following the first phase of works at the end of last year, the hotel has 211 newly renovated guest bedrooms plus an expansive event space for private parties and occasions.

The revamp includes contemporary art works showing the Clifton Suspension Bridge and Concorde, along with colourful sofa seating, a bar area, bookshelves of locally inspired memorabilia and a board games library.

There is also a new open lobby, which the hotel describes as a "flexible space to enjoy a laid-back hearty meal, sip a Starbucks coffee or cocktail, catch up with friends or simply unwind in stylish surroundings".

Margaret Coffey, general manager at Holiday Inn Bristol Filton, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have completed the full refurbishment programme and be able to show off all the new areas, event spaces and rooms to our guests new and old.

"Our goal was to create spaces that feel welcoming, modern and are big on comfort.

"Whether people are stopping over with family and need a generous bedroom and dining space, or they are spending time with friends to explore Bristol and want somewhere super comfortable and good value, we now have a hotel product that is as good as our brilliant team of staff."
