A retail business with ambitious plans to become the fastest growing independent convenience store company in the 海角视频 has chosen Scunthorpe-headquartered Nisa to supply its stores.
Amacor Capital Limited currently operates nine stores, based predominantly in the North West of England.
The business plan involves the acquisition of independent retail convenience stores and is led by chairman Kevin Amphlett and managing director Martin Corban 鈥 who brings with him 30 years鈥 experience from Sainsbury鈥檚.
Mr Corban said: 鈥淥ur strategy for growth is focused on the clear consolidation opportunities that exist in the convenience sector of retail.

鈥淲e acquire and develop selected convenience stores where it has been identified that management have the drive and the determination to take the business forward. Our plan is to expand our existing portfolio through further acquisitions over the coming months and beyond.鈥
In the space of 10 months Amacor has completed the acquisition of nine stores which range from an 8,500 sq ft supermarket in Liverpool to a forecourt in Llangollen, North Wales. Their other sites are in Cheshire, Chorley, Altrincham and Haslingden, Rossingdale.
Linking up with Nisa鈥檚 format and development team, work is ongoing to provide the stores with the latest Nisa fascia and where required, assist with re-fits and modernisations.
Mr Corban, who joined Sainsbury鈥檚 in 1989 on the graduate management programme in London, has subsequently run large supermarkets and convenience estates.
He said: 鈥淗aving worked for Sainsbury's for 30 years I had a good network of contacts in the industry and spent a lot of time researching the market to find a great wholesale partner that Amacor Capital Ltd would work best with.

鈥淭he criteria were centred around a wholesaler that offered a great range of quality products with a dependable delivery service and fair price. We also wanted a partner that cared about the community it served and was involved in helping local good causes. Nisa represented all these things and we connected with the senior leadership team straight away.
鈥淭he icing on the cake was the acquisition of Nisa by the Co-op, a company steeped in heritage with a great reputation for serving the local community with great food.
鈥淣isa offers a great support network for expansion and we have been helped by our key account manager Scott Sandford and the store development team led by Darren May.鈥
Last year saw Nisa recruit more than 1,000 new stores, leading to significant expansion of the teams, as it built on the 拢127 million acquisition 13 months ago.
It was described as a 鈥榞ame changer鈥 by Co-op chief executive Steve聽Murrells, as it posted a 14 per cent hike in revenues. Nisa聽added 拢1 billion to the top line, 83 per cent of the total growth, nudging it over 拢10 billion for the first time.聽聽
A spokesperson for the Normanby Enterprise Park team said: 鈥淲e support a very wide range of independent retailers including many with multi sites. Amacor did the research and chose Nisa Retail ahead of any other symbol group. A great decision. Nisa鈥檚 key accounts team is working hard to provide everything they need.鈥
