A former chairman of New Look and chief executive of Matalan has joined Boohoo.
Alistair McGeorge has become an independent non-executive director at the Manchester-headquartered fashion giant.
He also succeeds Brian Small as its deputy chairman and is to act as chairman of the audit committee for an interim period.

Mr McGeorge was chief executive of Liverpool-headquartered Matalan for almost four years from the end of 2006.
He was then chairman of New Look for three years from May 2011 and is currently chairman of Burnley-headquartered The Original Factory Shop.
Boohoo has also confirmed that former chief financial officer Neil Catto has stepped down from the board.
He was succeeded as CFO by Shaun McCabe last year but remained at Boohoo as an executive director.

Mr Small had been deputy chairman since January 2020, having first joined as a non-executive director in April 2019.
He was chief financial office at Greater Manchester-headquartered JD Sports from December 2003 to October 2018.
