A ‘food obsessed’ couple are selling homemade burgers cooked up at their own house after perfecting the recipe.
Emily Lockwood and her partner Dan have always been passionate about food and in 2019 started Nibble - a food blog to showcase local restaurants and their suppliers.
The page grew in popularity and meanwhile their own burger creations were getting rave reviews from family and friends.
With lockdowns killing their social life they invested more time in perfecting their burgers and decided to start selling them to the public.
Advertising on social media they are cooking up the burgers at their home in the village of Trefnant, Denbighshire, and recently sold 70 over a weekend - with their customers including Wales rugby star Jonathan Davies.
While there are no plans to give up day jobs they do hope to buy a van and start to sell burgers on weekend evenings and attend small festivals.
Emily, 28, said: “We invested in a grill a while back and just cooked burgers for friends and family as a hobby.
“After receiving such great feedback, we took the time to source the best mince, bacon, buns, etc. to create an epic burger menu, as we couldn’t get anything like it close to home.

“We tested lots of burgers and finally took the plunge last month to register Nibble as a business and we’ve had sell-out weekends since.”
Part of the secret is the quality of the locally sourced ingredients. They use mince and bacon from Daniel Morris Butchers in Denbigh while artisan baker Ian Purcell of Baked Latitude, Mynydd Isa, came up with the perfect bun. Chilli jams are sourced from the Welshhomestead Smokery.
It has paid off with orders flying in.
Emily said: “We get pre-orders in in advance and then they are collected from us.
“We had 70 orders over the Bank Holiday weekend even though we are based in a small village community.
“Rugby player Jonathan Davies follows the blog and he put an order in as he was coming to North Wales for a holiday.
“We’ve no plans to do this full time but we do want to invest in a van.

“The dream would be to have a burger truck and share our food at festivals and other events around the 海角视频.
“For now, we’re focusing on expanding our menu by adding unique burgers every few weeks and are also hoping to attend small local shows on a stall this summer.”
