Two Grimsby seafood brands are enjoying strong growth as retail enjoys heightened sales.
Hilton Seafood’s Saucy Fish Co has secured two new listings for its frozen and chilled ranges in Iceland and Waitrose.
After a successful launch in The Food Warehouse by Iceland in 2017, it will now see it’s frozen fishcakes listed in main estate Iceland stores this month.
Flavours include Salmon Fishcakes with a Cracking Lemon Centre and Smoked Haddock Fishcakes with a Delicious Vintage Cheddar Centre.
A number of products from Saucy’s flagship chilled range are available on Waitrose online now too. These products include popular fish and sauce combinations, Salmon with Chilli Lime & Ginger Dressing and Smoked Haddock with a Cheddar & Chive Sauce; as well as two saucy-centred fishcakes.
Anne Laudage, brand manager at Saucy, said: “We are very excited to see some of our favourite Saucy Fish products become available in Iceland stores nationwide and on Waitrose online. Our products promise to add convenience and flavour to even more dinner plates across the country.

These two retailer listings follow a successful launch of four new fish and sauce lines in Ocado, early this year.

Grimsby’s JCS Fish has introduced two innovative new frozen fish cakes to its BigFish brand; Salmon & Sweet Potato and Thai Salmon & Sweet Potato.
Both cook in under half an hour, straight from the freezer, and described as “perfect for convenient, healthy meals served with salad or vegetables and the plain variety also makes the basis of a great balanced meal for kids”.
The entire BigFish range was relaunched earlier this month with eye-catching redesigned cardboard packaging that also cut the brand’s use of plastic by around 60 per cent.
The new fish cakes are stocked in independent retailers across the 海角视频 and also available online through Ocado and direct.

The redesign goes retro, featuring an image from 25 years ago of JCS founder, Andrew Coulbeck, holding a large salmon, and in the wider range feauring salmon, it creates a window to the product.
Commercial manager, and son, Jack Coulbeck, said: “Our aim was to cut as much plastic packaging as possible and give the brand a refresh at the same time. We’ve worked hard to find the most responsible supply chain for our salmon so it’s only natural that we should also want to find the most sustainable packaging solution to put it in.”
Co-founder, and wife, Louise Coulbeck added: “Although Andy was initially reluctant for us to use his mugshot on the packs, the younger members of our team all thought it was great and we’re delighted with the new look. Given that times got pretty tough in March with the coronavirus lockdown, we initially held back on our relaunch but now feel the time is right for some colourful new branding. It certainly looks good in the freezer and is a boost to our hardworking team, helping us all look forward – hopefully to some more cheerful times ahead.”
