Ex-Apprentice contestant "sorry" after business folds

A former Apprentice contestant has said she was sorry she "couldn't finish what I started" following the liquidation of her clothes store.

Fran Bishop set up independent children's and nursery clothing retailer The Pud Store in 2015, opening stores in Mansfield, Newark and Doncaster.

An official notice on the website of her shop states it has ceased trading and is taking steps to enter into liquidation.

Nottingham Live said In addition to its three stores, it also operated a warehouse in Ealand, North Lincolnshire.

On Thursday, January 13, Ms Bishop posted a series of tweets updating her followers about the impact that the pandemic had on her business.

She also stated that the recent liquidation is "only the beginning of something new."

She tweeted: "As some of you know, last year The Pud Store went into liquidation.

"I put my heart and soul into everything I create, and I am incredibly proud of what we did achieve over the past 8 years.
