Emma Willis and Alison Hammond front new Birmingham Christmas shopping campaign

Retail Birmingham BID launches new region-wide marketing push to boost city's retail offering in busy run-up to Christmas

TV presenter Emma Willis is fronting a new campaign to promote Christmas shopping in Birmingham

Birmingham-born TV stars Emma Willis and Alison Hammond are fronting a new campaign to promote Birmingham as a retail destination this Christmas.

Retail Birmingham, the business improvement district focused on boosting the city's retail sector, is behind the 'Shop Shop Shop' campaign and has signed up the duo to voice festive radio adverts airing across the region throughout the festive period.

There is also targeted print, outdoor and online advertising.

The Christmas campaign features models dressed in clothing and accessories available in Birmingham city centre stores, including House of Fraser and Harvey Nichols.

It is designed to promote the variety of stores, experiences and activities available to shoppers in Birmingham city centre and support retailers during the busy retail period.

Steve Hewlett, manager of Retail Birmingham, said: "The Christmas period is a hugely important period for retailers in Birmingham city centre and we're hopeful that the support of the extensive marketing campaign will see huge numbers of shoppers coming in to experience all that the retail area has to offer.

"Through the wide-reaching campaign, Retail Birmingham aims to encourage those from outside the region to come and explore, as well as Birmingham shoppers to revisit and experience the amazing array of new and existing stores available."
