A new gastropub and restaurant is set to open this week in a leafy Birmingham suburb.
The official launch of The High Field in Edgbaston on Thursday evening will see the first Birmingham venue from Midlands-based Peach Pub Company, which has ventures across Warwickshire and Oxfordshire.
Other Peach Pubs include The Almanack in Kenilworth, the Star and Garter in Leamington, the Rose and Crown in Warwick and the One Elm in Stratford.

Originally planned as the ‘Highfield Townhouse’, the new restaurant and bar has been developed in a classic white villa in Highfield Road.
The business is the latest in an area that is being seen as a potential new food hub for Edgbaston, sitting next to Scandinavian bar Norjske and opposite Michelin-starred Simpson’s restaurant and new cocktail lounge and boutique hotel The Edgbaston.
The arrival comes after landlord Calthorpe Estates unveiled a vision to create a new Edgbaston Village in the same area, with landscaped, green spaces and a host of shops, restaurants, bars, gyms and hotels.
The village would be created in the triangle south of Five Ways between Calthorpe Road, Highfield Road and Harborne Road, with a focus on Greenfield Crescent.
Following last week’s soft launch, the pub will host an official VIP launch party this week, throwing open the doors to supporters.
As well as a bar and tables overlooking the leafy garden, the venue has two private, panelled dining rooms set aside for meetings and celebrations. The menu promises seasonal dishes alongside a range of real ales, wines, premium spirits and classic cocktails, and the bar will be open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
