A º£½ÇÊÓƵ bed retailer is closing its stores permanently after being bought up by bed and mattress giant Dreams.

Feather & Black, which has not reopened its eight branches following the easing of lockdown restrictions, said in an email to customers its brand and website would “remain the same”.

The retailer has outlets in Bath, Cheltenham, Henley, East Sheen, Edinburgh, Tunbridge Wells, Fulham and Tottenham Court Road in London.

The company wrote: “With a mutual passion for creating beautiful bedrooms and a shared vested interest in ensuring you sleep well, we are happy to announce that Dreams, the º£½ÇÊÓƵ’s number one specialist bed retailer, has become the new owner of Feather & Black.

“The F&B brand that you know and love, along with our carefully curated products, will remain the same, and we are excited about the developments to our offering we’ll be able to make with the backing of Dreams.”

Feather & Black said it would now be working on improving its website to give shoppers "the best” online experience.

The retailer said it would also still be offering its ‘Handmade For You’ service and 100-night trial on all mattresses.

The news comes as many º£½ÇÊÓƵ retailers are battling to survive the impact of the pandemic.
