A Danish juice bar and coffee shop is opening a new site at Cabot Circus in Bristol.

The Joe & The Juice store is the chain's first in the South West as it looks to expand to more than 1,000 branches globally in the next five years.

The Bristol branch will sell sandwiches, salad bowls and snacks, as well as tea and coffee, iced matcha drinks, protein shakes, signature juices and shots.

To mark the opening of the shop on Saturday (August 9), the company has commissioned local artists Melo, Sick Boy and Royston to design limited edition t-shirts that will be given away to the first 150 customers.

Jon James, Joe & The Juice’s Ƶ managing director, said: “Bristol is a city full of character and community, and one we’ve had endless requests to open in. Bristol's vibrant culture and individuality truly inspire us, and we’re excited to add our own flavour to the mix.”

The store will be based on the upper ground floor of Cabot Circus shopping centre, between Nationwide and Pret A Manger.

The outlet will be open between 11am and 7pm on opening day, then 8am to 8pm Mondays to Fridays and 8pm to 7pm on weekends.

The announcement follows a number of retailers confirming plans to open at Cabot Circus in the last 12 months.

Last year, Marks & Spencer announced it would open a flagship store at the shopping centre in the autumn of 2025 after closing its Broadmead outlet in 2022. The major department store will make its home in the former House of Fraser outlet in Cabot.

In March, kitchenware brand Procook also opened a store at the shopping centre. It was the Gloucestershire-headquartered retailer's 66th Ƶ outlet and is based at Unit SU58 - a space previously occupied by Currys - on the ground floor of the shopping hub.
