Growing North East ice cream parlour company Cream Curls is poised for national expansion with new openings planned across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ.

The ice cream chain opened its first branch in Newcastle last year but has quickly grown to operate seven branches in the North East and Scotland.

The company, founded by Arafat Rashid, offers customers the chance to indulge their sweet tooth by mixing different chocolates and fruits to create an ice cream roll.

Despite being a relatively young business, Cream Curls is now preparing to open its eighth branch in the Metrocentre in Gateshead, with the launch expected to take place in the next couple of weeks.

And keen to capitalise on the current demand for its icy treats the company is building on its success by planning more branches around the º£½ÇÊÓƵ, at a soon to be revealed location in the Midlands and London.

Hasan Hamid, director of marketing firm Grow Your Business, which has worked with Cream Curls from the start, said: “Cream Curls launched just over a year ago in April 2018. The first branch was in Heaton and it was a trial for the idea and it had seating for about four people.

“It was to test out the product. People loved the idea of seeing the ice cream made in front of them.

“At the moment we have existing branches in Heaton, Newcastle Central on Percy Street, Washington, South Shields, Ashington, Motherwell and Glasgow.
