CPBigwood markets a collection of offers in Warwickshire

Two former RAF buildings could pique the interest as part of a collection of offers on the site of a Second World War airfield in Warwickshire, says Alison Jones

Buyers will be scrambling to get hold of a piece of history with the sale of part of a former in the Midlands.

And its guide price of £250,000 doesn’t just buy its fascinating links to the past, there is also the possibility of creating a future business as two disused RAF buildings on what used to be Snitterfield Airfield come complete with planning permission for conversion to five holiday lets.

The buildings are part of a three-way offer through CPBigwood as also up for sale is a four-bedroom detached home, Hawkswood Farm, which is in Gospel Oak Lane, Pathlow.

For sale with a guide price of £575,000, it includes 2.76 acres of land.

Hawkswood Farm is for sale by private treaty while offers are being invited on the other two properties prior to them going to public auction.

RAF Snitterfield was operational between 1943 and 1946.

The north-east section of the airfield is currently the Stratford Oaks Golf club and the south-east section is home to Stratford-upon-Avon Gliding Club. At the southern end is now Stratford Armouries, the museum and attractions complex.

The old RAF Building One extends to approximately 1,951 sq ft and has planning permission for conversion into four holiday lets. Building Two is 324 sq ft and has planning permission for conversion into a single holiday let. However, with access off Gospel Oak Lane, the buildings may be suitable for a variety of other uses.
