The Cotswolds Designer Outlet, the new shopping destination off the M5 near Tewkesbury, has opened.
The outlet is running a preview period until Sunday, July 27, with retailers hosting events and launching special offers for visitors.
Cotswolds Designer Outlet was developed by Cheltenham-headquartered Robert Hitchins and Cheshire-based retail destination specialist Multi-Realm.
The site is home to dozens of big-name brands, including Boss, Hobbs, Procook and The Body Shop, and also has a flagship Dobbies garden centre with a Waitrose food hall and soft play, and a petrol station.
M&S is among retailers to launch a new store there. Located in Unit 15, the 4,000 sq ft shop offers a selection of fashion, including womenswear, menswear, kidswear, footwear and accessories, and home and beauty products.
Jenny Hall, store manager at M&S’ new Tewkesbury outlet, said: “It’s brilliant to grow our presence in Gloucestershire and I just know customers are going to love what we have to offer.”
Burger brand Five Guys is among the eateries opening at the site. The company's brand and customer director Paul Hamilton said: “We're so excited to be a part of this new Designer Outlet and to welcome all the hungry shoppers into our new store.
"We will have all of their favourite Five Guys combinations ready to go, from the lettuce wrap to the bacon cheeseburger. We have something for everyone here.”
Alongside shops and eateries, the mall has indoor and outdoor play areas, accessible family changing facilities, and a guest services hub.
At weekends and bank holidays, a shuttle bus service will operate every 30 minutes from Tewkesbury, also calling at the local railway station at Ashchurch, to the outlet.
Adrian Field, centre manager at Cotswolds Designer Outlet, said: "We are delighted to have opened the doors to our first visitors to the Cotswolds Designer Outlet and to be up and running.
"A lot of hard work has been put in by a range of stakeholders to get to this point and the results are stunning.
"There has been a real sense of anticipation from the brands as well as they have been getting their shops, and restaurants ready. We hope that people like what they see during our launch week and that they familiarise themselves with what the brands have to offer.’
The Cotswolds Designer Outlet is open daily from 10am until late.
