Café-bar chain Loungers is planning to open a new site in East Bristol next month, it has announced.

Rubino Lounge in Redfield will take the number of outlets in the Bristol-founded group's estate to 261.

The Church Road venue opens on August 6 and will serve breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, and drinks.

It will offer children's, gluten-free and vegan menus, and there will also be a selection of games, books, colouring pencils, and pads available, Loungers said.

The new venue opening has created 30 jobs.

John English, head of community, The Lounges, said: “We can't wait to open the doors of Rubino Lounge on 6 August.

"We hope our family friendly environment and top-notch food and drink offering will prove popular with local residents and visitors.

“We’re passionate about integrating genuinely into the communities we serve so we’re looking forward to meeting everyone and to playing our part at the heart of Redfield’s food and drink scene.
