An independent Cornish distillery has started exporting to a number of new countries in Europe after experiencing demand from international tourists visiting Cornwall.
Pocketful of Stones, best known for its signature Dr Squid Gin, is now offering direct-to-doorstep delivery in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, and the Netherlands.
Website orders placed from these six countries will be fulfilled via the distillery鈥檚 Dutch warehouse, with two-day delivery, the company said.
"Tourists from France, Germany, the Netherlands, and beyond frequently discover the distillery in Penzance or Falmouth, only to enquire about shipping options once they return home," a spokesperson for the company said.
The distillery said the move was a "strategic response" to rising demand across continental Europe and "a natural progression" following its strong performance in neighbouring markets.
鈥淲e鈥檝e had so many conversations over the years with visitors who鈥檝e fallen in love with the likes of Dr Squid Gin or Hell's Stone Whisky while they鈥檙e on holiday in Cornwall, and want to know how they can get it when they鈥檙e back in Berlin, Brussels, or Bordeaux,鈥 said Mike Cunliffe, co-founder of Pocketful of Stones.

The launch comes on the heels of Pocketful of Stones鈥 recent market entry in Italy, as well as its growing presence in Switzerland, Austria, and Hungary.
Despite broader challenges in global logistics and production, the distillery has sustained double-digit export growth across the EU, supported by increased capacity at its Penzance base and key infrastructure investment.
