A Cornish spa hotel has announced its restaurant re-brand with a new focus on "hyper-seasonal", provenance-led menus.

Bedruthan Hotel and Spa in Mawgan Porth has opened Ogo, which translates to 'cave' in Cornish. Inspired by the coastline with a menu committed to seasonal high-quality ingredients the re-brand replaces the former The Herring.

Head Chef George Richardson has handpicked local suppliers and farms who share his commitment to sustainable practices. Focussing on in-season produce, the daily changing menu will vary according to the season and retain a focus on provenance: from what the boats bring in each day along the South coast, to foraged ingredients from the surrounding countryside.

Mr Richardson said: “We are pleased to bring Bedruthan’s principles of sustainability and provenance to life on the plate at Ogo, and delight diners’ palates with authentic flavours that represent the spirit of the community in which we are located."

In addition to the new restaurant the hotel has introduced two new corporate packages for summer 2023, with special offers running throughout July and August.

Bedruthan Hotel is offering out meeting spaces and summer team building packages. With venues for meetings and events of up to 170 people the new incentives are offering businesses a range of options to suit their objects.

The coastal outpost is equipped to offer space for meetings, presentations and away days, as well as facilities to recharge and recover, such as a sea view gym, sensory spa garden and clifftop sauna.
