Clarks announces former Under Armour head as new º£½ÇÊÓÆµ managing director

The Somerset-headquartered retailer said the new managing director for the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ and Republic of Ireland will commence their new role from August 2023

Clarks has appointed a new managing director for the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ and Republic of Ireland.

Former global vice president of retail at international sportswear brand, Under Armour, Bob Neville, will take on the role at the Somerset-headquartered retailer.

Mr Neville will join Clarks from August 2023. He returns to the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ from Hong Kong, where he has been based for 30 years, leading teams with some of the retail brands including New Balance, Adidas, and his most recent role at Under Armour.

Whilst being based out of Hong Kong, Mr Neville worked throughout the Asia-Pacific region, with a particular focus on China.

Clarks chief executive Jon Ram said: “Bob brings significant global retail and brand creative experience to Clarks. He builds great teams and empowers them to create exceptional consumer experiences. As we look to build on our recent good company performance, Bob will play a leading role in delivering our strategic goals and growing our business in the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ & ROI. We will also build out our global retail centre of excellence under his leadership.”

Joe Ulloa, managing director for the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ, Ireland and MEA (the Middle East and Africa) at Clarks stepped down from the role in April.

Mr Neville has been appointed to the role to activate Clarks’ long-term strategy of sustainable growth and brand-strengthening, as it enters its third century of business.
