Multi-charity clothing store Charity Super.Mkt has extended its run at Bristol's Cabot Circus by a month.
Located in the old Hollister store, which closed down earlier this year, the store will be open for an extra month until September 24, due to high customer demand.
Since , on July 20, the pop-up has sold over 5,000 items, with almost 500 being sold on opening night. The Bristol store hosts a revolving charity line-up refresh, including a mix of newly sourced clothing and accessories. The space also hosts local DJs on weekends, gift card voucher giveaways and accepts pre-loved donations in-store.
Founders Wayne Hemingway and Maria Chenoweth chose Bristol for their latest showcase due to its green credentials as the Ƶ's third greenest city, a former European Green Capital and the Ƶ's first 'cycling city'.

Mr Hemingway said: "One of the reasons we selected Cabot Circus for Charity Super.Mkt is that we knew Bristol embodied the concept of ‘circular economy’ and would understand our unique business model. Charity Super.Mkt is miles ahead when it comes to delivering purposeful retail and has so far been a huge success, meaning that the charities involved are raising thousands for good causes, and more and more customers realise the importance of sustainable shopping. This is just the start of our relationship with this great city!"
To provide more fundraising opportunities for local and national and charities, Charity Super.Mkt has introduced five new charities this month: Shelter, Bath Cats & Dogs, GWAA, Weston Hospicecare and Havens Hospices.
The department store for second-hand style said that is "on course" to raise over £1m for charity, having already reached £627,000 alone at Hammerson’s retail and leisure destinations, Brent Cross (London) and The Oracle (Reading).
TRAID chief executive, Maria Chenoweth, commented: “Bringing Charity Super.Mkt to Cabot Circus has been an amazing experience for us and the charities involved. The long queues on opening night showed that this is the right city for the concept and it’s been fantastic to see how customers are embracing charity fashion and shopping. We’re excited to be extending our stay in Bristol and can’t wait for customers to see for themselves the new collection curated by our new charities this month.”
Sarah Tinsley, director of marketing and placemaking at Hammerson added: “The success of Charity Super.Mkt is testament to how we are being fearless with our approach to incubating new brands and introducing market firsts to enhance the experience for our customers and occupiers. This is an exciting new concept for Cabot Circus which underpins Hammerson’s ESG commitments to make a positive impact on the environment via our assets and brand partners.”
