Catering equipment firm Nisbets continues growth with new deal

Bristol-based Nisbets is one of the largest suppliers to commercial kitchens across Europe

Catering equipment giant Nisbets has continued its recent expansion with the completion of its third acquisition of the year.

The firm, which is based in Bristol and is one of the largest suppliers to commercial kitchens across Europe, has secured a deal for fellow catering equipment and furniture rental firm Jongor Hire for an undisclosed sum.

London-based Jongor stocks the largest range of catering equipment for rental in the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ and fulfils over 2,000 orders each year. The firm has supplied major events such as the Cheltenham Gold Cup and The BRIT Awards, as well as the NHS and National Grid.

Nisbets has already bought barware supplier Beaumont and Cornish engineering services business º£½ÇÊÓÆµ Engineers in 2022.

Jongor has been headed up by managing director Joe Nisbet, a director of Nisbets’ holding company Key West Holdings, since 2015.

As part of the deal, Mr Nisbet will step back from running the firm, with Gerry Rankin appointed to replace him. Mr Nisbet will remains a shareholder of the company, which said he would “continue to work closely to help integrate and support” the firm into the Nisbets group.

Jongor will continue to trade as a separate entity, with Nisbets saying the remainder of its existing staff would continue to work for the company.
