Catering equipment giant Nisbets has acquired barware supplier Beaumont for an undisclosed sum.
The firm, which is based in Bristol and is one of the largest suppliers to commercial kitchens across Europe, said the deal would expand its range and create further growth opportunities.
Established almost 45 years ago, Beaumont operates a manufacturing and warehousing facility in Bedfordshire, where it despatches thousands of products, including spirit measures and other cocktail-making accessories, to a network of distributors spanning 40 countries.
Nisbets’ executive chair Peter Sephton said: “The company operates in a market with strong growth potential and by leveraging our operating model and omni-channel expertise, we believe we can scale quickly and efficiently.”
As part of the deal Beaumont will continue to operate as a standalone business under the leadership of managing director Nick DeBorde.
Mr DeBorde added: “The past few years have seen new opportunities arise for both companies, which will undoubtedly provide further areas for growth particularly considering the existing synergy between the two companies.
“The combination of support and expertise from Nisbets, with our knowledge and passion for barware and with myself staying as MD, will allow us to continually nurture all of our existing customers the way we have done for 45 years”.
The agreement marks the second company acquisition Nisbets has agreed in less than six months, after previously going more than five years without cracking a deal.

Earlier this year Nisbets bought 海角视频 Engineers, a Cornish business that connects hospitality businesses with contactors to service gas, electrical and refrigeration catering equipment. In March, the company announced it would open a new distribution centre in Ireland this year, doubling the size of its operations in the country and creating 20 jobs.
In 2020, Nisbets announced more than 400 job losses as it sought to slash costs due to “unprecedented” market conditions caused by national lockdowns. The multi-channel retailer said a new customer strategy and its range of products had enabled it to mitigate the downturn "better than expected", allowing it to save around 260 roles.
Nisbets stocks more than 35,000 products online, by phone and through a network of 28 physical retail stores.
Headquartered in Avonmouth and chaired by founder Andrew Nisbet, the firm employs more than 2,000 people worldwide and has offices in the 海角视频, Ireland, Belgium, Holland, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal and Australia.
