The company that was behind a vegan restaurant and cocktail bar in Bristol has gone into liquidation - but the restaurant is still open for business.

Koocha Mezze Bar is a Persian-inspired vegan eatery that serves small sharing plates and larger mains such as homemade falafel burger and okra stew with spinach and potato.

The announcement was made on public records site The Gazette.

It read: “Notice is hereby given that the following resolutions were passed on 10 October 2019, as a special resolution and an ordinary resolution respectively: that the company be wound up voluntarily.”

Paul William Harding and Michelle Gillian Breslin both of insolvency firm Tri Group, based in Almondsbury, have been appointed as joint liquidators.

The pair will oversee the winding up of the business.

The liquidators said in a statement: "Paul Harding and Michelle Breslin of tri Group were appointed Joint Liquidators of Koocha Limited, trading as Koocha Mezza Bar on 10 October 2019.

"The company was in financial difficulties for a period of time before the liquidation, and these difficulties were compounded by the ill health of the director. Prior to the liquidation, the company sold the business to an associated company."
