A Bristol-based animation production studio has launched its latest collaboration with the makers of long-running US show Sesame Street.
A Productions, which has 150 staff spread across two studios in the city, previously worked with Sesame Workshop on The Monster At The End of The Story, the first-ever animated Sesame Street special in more than 50 series of the show. The programme won a Royal Television Society (RTS) West of England award, as well as two Daytime Emmy Award nominations.

A Productions has now completed animation work on comedic animated preschool series Bea’s Block, which will be screened on Sky Kids in the Ƶ and Ireland. The programme allows the story of five-year-old Bea and her two best friends Ty and Lexi.
Katherine McQueen, joint managing director of A Productions, said: “It has been a pleasure working with Sesame Workshop again, this time on a brand-new series which focuses on supporting the emotional well-being of young children and their families and celebrating diversity and inclusivity.”
A Productions’ latest project comes hot on the heels of its animation work on preschool series Pip and Posy Let’s Learn, for BAFTA-winning and Oscar-nominated production company Magic Light Pictures.
A Productions agreed a strategic partnership with global production company Cyber Group Studios last year, which saw the Paris-based group acquire a majority stake in the Bristol business.
Bristol is also home to the Academy Award-winning Aardman Animations studio, the creators of Wallace and Gromit, and Wildseed Studios, which made the animated series Dodo shown on Cartoon Network.
