County Durham boutique bowling company Lane7 is launching a new golf concept at its latest º£½ÇÊÓƵ venue.

Darlington based Lane7, which has 11 sites across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ, opened one of its most recent sites in St James Quarter, Edinburgh, last year, which has proved popular with visitors for its shuffleboard, interactive darts pods, shooting alley and arcades alongside its bowling lanes.

Now the business, launched by Tim Wilks when its first site opened in Newcastle in 2013, is launching a new attraction – a mini-golf course called I Like Big Putts – at the Edinburgh base.

Lane7 has confirmed that their ‘I Like Big Putts’ mini-golf course will be opening in a month’s time, after investing £700,000 in the state-of-the-art 14-hole futuristic course.

Alongside the course confirmation, Lane7 bosses have shared a selection of CGI plans of some holes that will be available to play, including Tic Tap Toe and Pinball Wizard.

Graeme Smith, chief operating officer for Lane7, said: “After such a warm welcome by locals, it was a no-brainer to invest a further £700,000 to add our new mini-golf concept; adding to our unique blend of premium activities all available in one under one roof.”

Jennifer Laseen, food and beverage director at St James Quarter, said: “We are beyond excited to see Lane7’s mini-golf course open.
