Blues Kitchen, which has three bars across London, is currently recruiting for 120 new roles as it prepares to open its new Manchester site.

The live music venue, which serves barbecue food, said it will begin the hiring process in January next year before it opens in the spring at 13 Quay Street, just off Deansgate.

I said it is looking for management and supervisory staff, as well as kitchen, restaurant and bar staff and in reservations and sales.

There will be more jobs created for security and cleaners, it said.

Steve Ball, chief executive of the Columbo Group, which The Blues Kitchen is part of, said: “Manchester is renowned for its buzzing restaurant, bar and music scene and that is because of the people that work in the hospitality industry in the city.

“We are delighted to be able to provide employment prospects for those who have been affected by the pandemic.”
