Birmingham cafe虂 brand Bakehouse has opened its fifth venue - this time in the Jewellery Quarter.

The cafe虂 concept, originating from the creators of Digbeth's popular street food eatery and pizzeria Baked in Brick, has joined its sister venues in Sutton Coldfield, Wylde Green, Broad Street, and Digbeth which have won praise for their 'trendy' atmosphere and charm.

Patrons can enjoy a variety of sandwiches made with homemade sourdough, alongside artisanal bread options such as bloomers, rolls, focaccia, and tin loaves, all baked fresh daily. The menu also boasts an assortment of pastries, cakes, and other baked delights, as well as hearty toasties and soups, with all offerings available for both dine-in and takeaway, reports .

Touted as the perfect spot for social gatherings or for those embracing hybrid working, the venue's design is the brainchild of Mathilde le Villain, head of the award-winning interior design studio La Villaine. It features artwork by local chalk artist Cali Martin from Magic Chalks. Lee DeSanges, the owner and director who began his journey baking pizzas in a classic Mini a decade ago, expressed his pride in the recent launch, stating: "We're so proud to have opened our fifth location in Birmingham.

"We're looking forward to Bakehouse becoming part of the Jewellery Quarter community, and welcoming in local residents and visitors to the area, to try our signature bakes."

The Bakehouse operates from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, on Saturdays from 9am to 4pm, and Sundays between 10am and 4pm.
