Get away from it all at former Bromyard hunt lodge

This old hunting lodge is now a beautiful home in a picture perfect setting

A former 16th century hunting lodge in Tredstone Wafre, Bromyard, has been thoroughly transformed into a home which marries simplicity and sophistication to quite stunning effect.

Cutnells is a half-timbered/brick cottage at the end of a half mile long track, .

It dates back to the 1500s and a comprehensive refurbishment has left a wonderful mix of original, reclaimed and contemporary features.

Fittings and finishes include stone and oak floors, new and original oak doors, a bespoke Winchmore kitchen, contemporary bathrooms and exposed colour-washed timbers.

Cutnells is L-shaped and in one wing it has a spacious reception hall with attractive India stone floor.

From the hall there is access to a well proportioned library/study with parquet flooring and views over the front garden towards the surrounding countryside.

On the other side of the hall is an elegant drawing room with an enamelled cast iron log burner set on a stone hearth in an inglenook fireplace.

A small inner hallway off the reception hall leads to a large larder and to a cloakroom.
