Apprentice winner Alana Spencer has launched her brand-new bakery in Aberystwyth.

She said opening the bakery had been something she had dreamt of for a "long time" - particularly bringing her luxury cake brand, Ridiculously Rich by Alana, to her home town.

This comes a few weeks after she bought Lord Sugar out of the business in an amicable separation with the tycoon wishing her the best for the future.

Speaking after the launch Alana said: "The bakery has been something I have been dreaming of for a long time. My business now has its own home and I am so happy that I have been able to keep the business here, in my home town of Aberystwyth.

"The support we have seen from the local community has been incredible, especially at the official launch where everyone had so many kind words and well wishes.

"Having the freedom of production and dispatch will allow us to grow faster and work with even more businesses, from smaller local ones to large national ones.

"We have already been in discussion with a number of retailers who are very keen to stock our current products and hopefully some of the new ones that are in the pipeline."

The business supplies over 50 franchises and a large number of retailers all across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ, and their first ever shop has been opened as part of the new bakery.
