Alfresco dining heaven in perfect period home

This barn's outside living spaces could have you dreaming of summer days.

We look at Woodfield Barn in Ombersley and our thoughts stray to summer.

It’s what is outside that does it. The fantastic barbecue area that has been created by the vendors.

This isn’t just a pile of bricks with a grill across it. This is splendid edifice that could be enjoyed even when it is raining, thanks to its roofed pergola.

Sheltered beneath is a patio/lounge area, a brick fireplace and chimney breast. It has everything the outdoor chef could need – cleverly designed storage for logs and charcoal, a cupboard containing a fridge, and a kitchen area with cupboards, sink and dishwasher.

This isn’t even the only alfresco dining area. with space for a table and chairs beneath.

The house itself isn’t too shabby either. A converted period barn, it has been remodelled and improved by the current owners.

It already offers plenty of space for a family with its five bedrooms, but there is the potential to add more, including a possible ground floor bedroom.

The use of period materials is evident throughout the barn. It starts with the heavy oak front door that leads into a reception hall with vaulted beamed ceiling, reclaimed oak polished boarded floor and an oak staircase leading to a gallery landing above.
