Adam鈥檚 restaurant in Birmingham has been named the third best in the 海角视频 and ninth best in the world.
It鈥檚 a major achievement despite slipping slightly 鈥 last year the Michelin-starred Waterloo Street venue was top in the 海角视频 and fourth in the world.
The rating comes from customer review website TripAdvisor and is based on millions of opinions. Winners were determined using an algorithm which took into account the quantity and quality of reviews around the world over a 12-month period.
Adam鈥檚, run by Adam Stokes, has been toppled from the top spot by Belmond Le Manoir Aux Quat鈥橲aisons in Oxfordshire, run by Raymond Blanc with two Michelin stars.
Second is Alain Roux鈥檚 Waterside Inn at Bray on Thames.
They are first and second in the 海角视频 and fourth and seventh in the world in the 2016 Travellers鈥 Choice Restaurants Awards.
Adam鈥檚 has beaten Heston Blumenthal鈥檚 The Fat Duck, ranked fourth in the 海角视频.
With three restaurants in the top 10, the 海角视频 has more than any other country. Spain and France have two each, along with Italy, the US and Brazil.
The number one restaurant in the world for the second year running, according to TripAdvisor, is Martin Berasategui in Lasarte, Spain.
Adam鈥檚 opened in spring 2013 on Bennetts Hill and was awarded a Michelin star within six months, now one of five Birmingham restaurants to have one.
In January this year it moved to a more permanent 拢1.5 million restaurant in New Oxford House on Waterloo Street.
On TripAdvisor it has a whopping 1,299 five star 鈥榚xcellent鈥 ratings out of 1,432. There are 95 鈥榲ery good鈥.
Comments include 鈥渢he tasting menu was absolutely amazing鈥 and 鈥渧ery classy with stylish decor, the staff was fantastic鈥.
It is the top fine dining restaurant in Birmingham on TripAdvisor though actually rated third of all eateries, behind Otoro Sushi at the Bullring Indoor Market and Golden Balti Indian Takeaway in Rednal.
