20 Stories owner confirms reopening of 17 restaurants next month

D&D London said the restaurants, located in London, Manchester and Leeds, form the first phase of reopening.

The owner of Manchester restaurant and bar, 20 Stories, has confirmed the reopening of 17 eateries next month, pending further government guidance.

D&D London said the restaurants, located in London, Manchester and Leeds, form the first phase of reopening.

Its other º£½ÇÊÓÆµ restaurants, as well as those in New York and Paris, will reopen through August and September.

CEO and co-founder Des Gunewardena, said a number of changes will be made including the adjustment of restaurant layouts to allow for physical distancing; enhanced cleaning regimes; hand sanitising facilities  and electronic menu and contactless payment.

Staff will receive daily temperature checks and PPE will be provided for front-of-house staff to wear whilst serving guests.

Des said: “It’s been a tough few months since we had to close our restaurants back in March.

“We’ve kept ourselves busy in lockdown with our various volunteering initiatives for the NHS.

“We’ve also been busy remodelling our venues to comply with the requirements of the new world we find ourselves in.
