Newland Homes has started demolition work on one of the few remaining brownfield sites in Tetbury, Gloucestershire.
The housebuilder plans to construct 45 contemporary zero carbon homes at the 0.85 hectare site. The site has been vacant for several years, having previously been a garage, petrol station and retail store.

The brownfield site will eventually become known as The Limes. The 45 new homes comprise a mix of two bedroom coach houses, along with two, three and four-bedroom contemporary homes with parking and garages.
Homes at The Limes will have high levels of insulation, solar panels for electricity generation, air source heat pumps for hot water and heating, and electric car charging points.
Newland Homes has nine developments underway in the South West, providing nearly 300 zero carbon new homes in the near future. The first homes are expected to be available to purchase next year.
Marcus Evans, sales and marketing director at Newland Homes, said: “Brownfield sites such as this are a rarity in the centre of Tetbury and it’s a great honour to be responsible for its transformation, creating much-needed, high-quality, zero carbon homes which provide a cleaner and greener alternative to homeowners and transform the way homes are designed and run.”
