New CGI images have been released showing a pair of 51-storey towers which could house almost 1,000 luxury apartments next to Deansgate Square in Manchester.

Renaker, the developer behind the four towers which now dominate the city centre’s skyline, has outlined the latest phase of the regeneration of the Great Jackson Street area,

Two distinct-looking towers are proposed at ‘Plot F’, an area of land at the southern corner of Deansgate Square which is currently occupied by industrial and warehouse buildings.

The scheme would deliver 988 one, two and three-bedroom apartments, along with new public realm, private gardens and communal facilities for prospective residents.

A statement on Renaker's website states: "These proposals will deliver two striking new residential towers next to the cluster of four tall buildings known as Deansgate Square, as well as over 2,000 sq m of high-quality new public realm.

"Over the past five years, Renaker has delivered some of the city’s highest quality residential schemes, which are creating a new vibrant, safe, secure and sustainable community in this part of Manchester city centre."

If backed, there will be cycle storage for each of the 988 flats, just under 300 car parking spaces are proposed, including around 30 electric vehicle charging points.

Renaker, together with architects SimpsonHaugh, has already delivered around 1,500 luxury homes across the four towers that make up Deansgate Square.
