Britvic, the mixers, juice and cordials manufacturer, is spending £27 million boosting its º£½ÇÊÓƵ supplies.

The business is investing in its biggest production site in Rugby growing its capacity there by 18 and creating at least 20 new jobs.

The business said the investment was part of its commitment to the continuous improvement of its supply chain, and will see a fourth canning line installed.

It will produce recyclable 330ml cans for Britvic’s portfolio of brands including Tango, Pepsi and 7UP.

The first cans are expected to be produced this November, with the new line fully up and running in 2022.

The new jobs will be predominantly in engineering and manufacturing.

Apprentices will also play a role during the expansion, filling some of the engineering roles and assisting with improvement projects as production commences.

Britvic said the news followed the completion of a £250 million “business capability programme” to improve facilities across its sites.
