'War' for talent and wages hike fails to stunt growth at professional services recruitment firm

Turnover and pre-tax profits increased at a professional services recruitment firm during 2021, it has been confirmed.

Sellick Partnership has posted a turnover of £72.7m for the year, up from the £55.4m it achieved in 2020.

The Manchester-headquartered business has also reported pre-tax profits of £3.1m, up from £2m.

The group also has offices in Derby, Leeds, Liverpool, Stoke-on-Trent, London and Newcastle.

A statement signed off by the board said: "The political and economic climate, together with the Covid-19 pandemic, has continued to challenge the group but Sellick Partnership has continued to see some positive growth and expansion across certain specialisms.

"Sellick Partnership continued to invest in the training and development of its staff and new technology.

"The uncertainty of the Covid-19 pandemic has meant clients have been less likely to commit to permanent hires and have opted for temporary solutions in the short term.
