Birmingham office of international law firm boosts litigation offering with trio of senior appointments

Law firm Trowers & Hamlins has strengthened its dispute resolution team in Birmingham by appointing three senior commercial litigators from rival practice DWF.

Helen Briant and Mark Kenkre, who have worked together in the commercial litigation team at DWF in Birmingham, have joined as partners while Keith Mills will be providing consultancy advice.

Ms Briant's focus throughout her career has been on international litigation and arbitration and disputes in the engineering, aerospace, and chemical sectors.

She has also advised clients on probate and trust matters as well as delivering counsel to public sector bodies on issues including inquests and judicial reviews.

Mr Kenkre's specialisms include commercial litigation on complex fraud disputes acting for organisations subject to both external and internal fraud.

He is a director of the Midlands Fraud Forum and a member of the Fraud Advisory Panel with his work taking him to the Middle East and Turkey.

Making up the trio of appointments, Mr Mills has 40 years of experience in litigation, most recently as head of dispute resolution in Birmingham with DWF, managing over 20 lawyers.

He has significant expertise in commercial dispute resolution and alternative dispute resolution, not only in the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ but also in the USA, Bahamas and Europe.
