Trowers & Hamlins has launched a commercial property practice in Birmingham following the hire of partner Amanda Hanmore.

Ms Hanmore was formerly a partner at Knights Solicitors where she led the firm’s real estate development team.

Trowers & Hamlins said her arrival would bring commercial property expertise to the firm’s Midland base and enhance its overall real estate offering.

Its Birmingham office already has housing, construction, employment, litigation, and public sector commercial capabilities.

Ms Hanmore deals with all aspects of commercial property and has particular specialisms in large-scale development, regeneration, and investment.

She advises clients from both the public and private sectors, including pension funds, major developers, care home operators, and universities.

Philip Peters, head of commercial property at Trowers & Hamlins, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Amanda to the department and to add a commercial property string to our bow in Birmingham.

“Amanda brings considerable development expertise to the table and her overall capabilities perfectly complement the existing skillset we have in the Midlands.
