Professional services firm KPMG has announced a senior appointment in its East Anglian practice as Kelly Dunn has been promoted to senior partner for the firm’s Cambridge office.
Kelly joined the company as a graduate in 1999 and completed her executive MBA while working for KPMG in Belgium and Edinburgh.
She spent time working in the firm’s headquarters in London supporting senior leadership with the firm’s growth strategy and was made audit director in 2012.
In 2015 Kelly was promoted to partner and moved to the East Anglian audit practice.
She specialises in working with fast growing technology, agriculture, retail, construction and family owned businesses based both in the 海角视频 and overseas.
She is also local and 海角视频 people partner for audit teams working in the firm’s national markets practice, where she is responsible for executing KPMG’s people strategy around recruitment, retention, wellbeing and talent management.
Kelly said: “The East of England is a hugely exciting region to work in and I am very excited to be taking on the senior partner role for our expanding East Anglia offices.

Kelly takes over from Charles le Strange Meakin, who was appointed Cambridge senior partner in 2016. He is retiring from KPMG after a 30-year career with the firm.

Telecoms expert joins board at software company
Cambridge-based software company IQGeo has appointed a telecommunications expert as an independent non-executive director.

Andy MacLeod is an experienced global executive with a deep understanding of telecommunications, IT technology and its operations.
He has served on the board of Norwegian biometric company IDEX ASA for five years and was the regional chief technology officer for Vodafone in Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
Andy said: “I am very pleased to be joining IQGeo. It is clear that the quality of the technology and people positions us to take advantage of a significant market opportunity as our customers seek to solve the challenge of managing network lifecycle operations.”
IQGeo provides software solutions to telecommunication and utility industries in North America to improve productivity.
Its software, myWorld, helps its clients access data previously hidden away in complex back-end systems on mobile devices, online or offline, more conveniently.
Andy’s industry knowledge will bring a rich depth of expertise to the IQGeo board in a very strategic market.
He spent 10 years at Vodafone Group, first as group chief networks officer responsible for the operation of Vodafone’s networks worldwide, then as chief technology officer for Verizon Wireless in the USA and then the regional chief technology officer.
Prior to Vodafone, Andy held a number of senior roles internationally within the telecommunications industry including at WorldCom, Eircom and Nortel.

He has also served on the boards of Verizon Wireless and Indus Towers, an Indian company which provides infrastructure services to telecom operators.
Andy holds a degree in materials science from the University of Oxford, an MBA from Warwick Business School and is a fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering.
IQGeo chairman Paul Taylor said: “Andy’s substantial experience in the telecommunications industry combined with his expertise in key growth areas such as fiber and 5G, will be an invaluable contribution as the group continues to grow and build an industry-leading offering for our customers.”
Andy currently holds no shares in IQGeo.
Growth advisor for financial services firm
The Cambridge office of financial and business advisors Grant Thornton has appointed a growth adviser to its specialist growth support service.
Jimmy Mark joins the Growth 365 team and will draw on his extensive knowledge of the business world, built over more than 30 years, to mentor companies towards their full potential.
Throughout his career, Jimmy has held various senior management positions, predominately in the food sector working for industry leading suppliers to the major 海角视频 retailers.
During this time, Jimmy used his strong operational skills and keen commercial focus to proactively grow the businesses he led.
In his new position with Grant Thornton, Jimmy joins the Growth 365 team of experienced growth advisers, technical specialists and analysts.
