The shortlist for the Manchester Legal Awards 2021 has been revealed.

JMW leads the nominations with eight shortlisted entries, while Eversheds Sutherland, Irwin Mitchell, Olliers and Myerson have four shortlisted entries each.

According to organiser the Manchester Law Society, shortlisted entrants will be interviewed next week, with winners revealed at an online event on Thursday, June 17.

Fran Eccles-Bech, chief executive at the Manchester Law Society, said: “Everything’s a little later than planned this year but we’re back on track!

“Having decided to hold the event virtually quite late in the day, we really didn’t know what to expect but the region’s legal community has shown its spirit and got behind the awards once again.

"The standard of entries is testimony to the quality of legal work in our region. Given the challenging conditions under which everyone has had to work, I’d like to thank people for taking the time to enter.

“I really hope people will support the event itself now by attending the online ceremony. Because it’s free and we don’t have any restrictions on numbers, whole firms can attend, as can family and friends.”
